For his own line, Madeaux by Richard Smith, Richard concentrates on a look of under-stated luxury. All of the fabric designs are taken from his original art-work and many are hand-printed on a variety of exclusive, textured grounds. For example, hand-woven silk noile with a beautiful drape, or a linen and cotton herringbone perfect for upholstery as well as for curtains. This hand crafted, artisanal line is united through a restrained and sophisticated colour palette.
