Hedgerow Silhouette 02

A soft zigzag vine motif of the hedgerow leaves that are so evocative of the English countryside. When observed closely the motifs are drawn in a fantastical way, encapsulating the chaos of a hedgerow and nature. Evoking the feel of a frosted hedge, the ghostly silhouettes here are almost like a cyanotype of the original Hedgerow design.

This wonderful design is printed on a cotton and linen mix as one of three from our collaboration with recent graduate Chantal Turner, whose entry to the world of textiles follows a career designing clothing for the childrenswear industry. Her charming and magical eye takes inspiration from local nature, presented with a delightful sense of scale and colour that we are so drawn to at Madeaux.
